The best advice on getting your ex back is to learn to live without him. Men have a strange desire to have what is unavailable to them. If your ex sees you as wanting and desperate you will only be driving him further away. However if he notices that you are getting your life back on track and doing just fine without him then you are more likely to rekindle his interest in you.
The first piece of advice is to send a very clear message to your ex that it is over for you. He should understand that you accept this and want to move on. A good way of getting this message across is to send back everything he ever gave you and all his belongings. Don't make a big drama about doing this. You can quietly leave them in a box outside his door or have them mailed. It is best not to include any notes but if you do decide too, then a short message stating that you were doing a clear out you found some items of his. Sign off with best wishes or regards but no 'love from' should appear.
You have to be very patient if you want to get your ex back. This means that you shouldn't find excuses to call him or email him or send him SMS messages. You shouldn't even fraternize with him on a social networking site. Delete him immediately if he is one of your 'friends' on Facebook or Myspace etc. It will soon be clear to him that you are not interested in what he is doing and would prefer it if he didn't know anything about you either.
Some useful advice on getting your ex back is to let him see you from time to time. However, when he does you should be sure to be looking your absolute best. Buy some flattering clothes and have your hair done. You'll feel good about yourself and you will exude self confidence which he is likely to find very attractive. You can frequent the same hangouts you used to go together with him.
If you see him in the club or bar don't go up to him but acknowledge him with a wave or smile then ignore him from then onwards. Let him see you obviously self assured and having a good time with your friends. It won't be long before he's hovering around you and asking if you are free next Saturday.
